what is prana?

Prana is life force vitality and energy. It is the composition and decomposition of all things manifest and unmanifest, in this incarnation and beyond. Prana is the air, the earth, the fire, the water and ether. It is the matter in which all beings and celestial beings are composed. The vastness of which prana is described is beyond most  human comprehension and ability to articulate thoroughly.

The breath in which we breathe, that gives us life,  is the most fundamental way for human beings to grasp prana. Through the study and investigation of our intense regulation of prana, through our breath,  allows us to isolate, a minuscule grasp of the infinite this light.

As we slow down our respiration we are able to examine, thoughtfully the inner workings of our mind. As this practice of patient meditation and careful observance of self becomes more accessible to the yogi, prana is more easily accessed and witnessed.

In order to see, feel, touch, taste or smell prana you need to get so quiet and incredibly still. This so where the ancient teachings of pranayama come into account and the investigation of understanding how prana moves in the body, is investigated. Yogi’s, sages, sannyasin’s, have been working with prana, achieving liberation for  thousands of years. This practice is not for the faint of heart however, to achieve transcendence in this incarnation takes wild determination and purity of mind, body and spirit. The disentanglement of our desires leading to our liberation from our senses, resulting in the ability to control our mind only to then free it. The veils of dualistic mentality are lifted once we are able to detach ourselves from the confines of our mental states. Only then, are we able to be fully enlightened and liberated from our physical form and earthly confines.
